Examinations

From exam schedule to report card.

Create the exam once. Parents are reminded the day before, teachers enter marks for their subjects, KalviOne applies your grading scale, and results reach parents only when you publish them.

At a glance

  • Exam calendar. Every exam with its date, and an automatic reminder to parents the evening before.
  • Teacher marks entry. Teachers enter marks for their students on desktop or mobile; every entry is audit-logged.
  • Your grading scale. Configure the grade bands your board uses (A1, A2, B1…).
  • Controlled publishing. Results stay hidden from parents until you publish them; publishing notifies parents.

02 · The problem

Exam season means a week of collecting and merging spreadsheets.

  • Each teacher sends marks in a different format.
  • The exam cell merges files by hand and recalculates totals and grades.
  • One wrong cell changes a student's rank and nobody notices.
  • Parents wait days for results while everything is cross-checked.

03 · Why the problem exists

It's not your staff. It's the setup.

  • Marks are collected, not enteredWhen teachers hand over files, someone else has to consolidate them.
  • Grading is a formula in a sheetCopied formulas break silently.
  • Results aren't connected to communicationPublishing means printing and distributing separately.

04 · The KalviOne solution

A single exam pipeline from schedule to result.

Each exam (e.g. "Term 2 · Mathematics") is created with its date. Teachers enter marks out of 100 per subject; totals, percentages and grades are calculated with your grading scale. Parents and students see nothing until the school publishes the results — then parents are notified.

12 · FAQ

Examinations: common questions

Can we use our own grading system?
Yes. Grade bands are configurable per school (e.g. A1 91–100, A2 81–90…).
Can parents see marks while teachers are still entering them?
No. Parents and students see an exam's marks only after the school publishes its results. Unpublishing hides them again.
Can marks be changed after publishing?
Yes. Teachers can correct marks; mark entries are recorded in the audit log.
